By the end of May 2025, inZOI is excited to unveil the long-anticipated ModKit, alongside our inaugural modding update!
This announcement outlines the capabilities of the ModKit and the modding features that will be introduced over time. Please find the information below.
The inZOI ModKit is an official tool crafted to make modding straightforward and accessible for all.
Following the update in late May, it will be available for download on the Epic Games Store. Key features include:
◆ Access inZOI Assets
– In the late May update, representative meshes (FBX) and Json data files for outfit sets and basic furniture will be provided. More assets will be added in subsequent updates.
– By modifying the in-game Json files, you can freely adjust various states and conditions.
– Example: A bed that restores sleep in 5 minutes
– Example: Altering the Flirt buff duration to 10 hours
◆ Plugins for Maya & Blender


– Official plugins for Maya and Blender will be available to simplify the creation of inZOI 3D assets.
– These plugins enable you to import the downloaded meshes into your software, integrating them into your workflow.
◆ Develop Unreal-Based Mod Projects
– Assets created in Maya, Blender, or other tools can be imported into ModKit, converting them into Unreal plugin format mod projects.
◆ CurseForge Compatibility

– Once your mods are completed, they can be uploaded and packaged on CurseForge.
– Other creators can easily find and download your mods via the in-game CurseForge interface.

To progressively enhance the inZOI modding ecosystem, we have planned three modding updates throughout 2025.
These updates aim to establish fundamental features. We will continue to evolve based on your feedback.

◆ May Update
The May update introduces tools for modding outfit sets and furniture, alongside a data editing UI to simplify game data modification.
With the official ModKit launch, we will continue to enhance the experience based on your feedback.
◆ September Update
In September, the scope of modding expands to character features like faces and hair, as well as structural elements like doors, fences, pillars, and windows.
You will also be able to create interaction-based content including dialogues, voice, rewards, and motion.
◆ December Update
By December, the majority of outfits will be moddable. You will also be able to edit interaction scripts and access localization tools, enabling the creation of richer and more diverse content.
Our modding policy will be published on the official inZOI website in mid-May 2025.
It will encompass guidelines, restrictions, IP ownership, and monetization terms. Please consult this policy when utilizing modding features.
We will continue to gather your feedback and collaborate with you to develop an improved modding environment.
To get started, we will host a ModKit-themed AMA and initiate a dedicated feedback channel.
