New World: Amazon Games MMO is postponed again, here is its new release date

We will have to be a little more patient to see what Amazon is capable of doing in terms of video games. Indeed, its first game, New World, has once again been postponed for several months, the third time since its announcement in 2019, which is not a good sign in general. But the developers promise us that this postponement is not alarming and that it aims to refine the game which is now expected for August 31, 2020.

We’ve been working hard on some endgame features that we find compelling and want to include at launch. These features will not be ready for the spring period we communicated. With that in mind, we’ll be releasing New World on August 31, 2021. With this extra development time, we’ll be able to add these substantial improvements, while also tweaking the entire game before opening Aeternum’s ribs to the world.

What can reassure us, however, is that the last time we played it, the game kept its promises, an MMO that will try to be as effective as it is innovative in certain aspects. The message posted on the official website does teach us, however, that an Alpha will take place from March 30 and that the beta will begin July 20, 2021. This will be an opportunity to access the Ebonscale Reach area, participate in expeditions, and enjoy the Outpost Rush mode.
