Chinese studio Infold Games — known for Infinity Nikki and Love and Deepspace — says Nintendo’s consoles are especially appealing and that their player base would likely welcome the studio’s titles.
“Nintendo platforms are definitely interesting and strategically attractive,” the Infinity Nikki team said in an interview about demand for non-violent AAA games.
“The hardware and audience tend toward family and casual players, which pairs naturally with cozy experiences and exploration-driven projects. We’re evaluating multiple approaches across platforms and believe Nintendo-specific builds could do very well. That said, careful native optimization and a redesigned user interface are essential.”
Infinity Nikki and Love and Deepspace are free-to-play, non-violent games centered on cozy atmospheres, exploration, and character interaction. Those elements align neatly with a platform whose long-standing hit remains Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Developers are confident that a thoughtful port to the Switch 2, with attention to optimization and interface adjustments, could resonate strongly with Nintendo fans.
