The Witcher 4 Follows Cyberpunk 2077’s Lead: CDPR to Showcase Latest RTX Technology
CD Projekt Red remains committed to integrating cutting-edge technology into their future titles.
While Cyberpunk 2077 served as a premier showcase for various NVIDIA innovations, the upcoming installment in The Witcher saga is poised to follow suit, offering players a similarly advanced graphical experience.
The Witcher 4 will implement NVIDIA RTX Mega Geometry, a technology designed to “accelerate the construction of BVH models for clustered geometry systems.” These data structures are critical for calculating ray-traced scenes with high efficiency.
This allows ray tracing to be utilized in exceptionally demanding scenarios—with internal slides mentioning “millions of objects”—ensuring robust performance even under heavy loads.
The technology is specifically engineered to “enhance the scalability of ray tracing within dense environments, particularly when rendering complex meshes and ultra-detailed assets.”
