Demon’s Souls Runs at 60 FPS on PC in KyTyPS5 Emulator Tests, While God of War Ragnarok Still Blinds Players
Geralt Benchmarks has shared test results for the Demon’s Souls remake running on a PlayStation 5 emulator. The game averaged 60+ FPS, and enabling frame generation brought it to 120 FPS. The test ran on a PC with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor and a GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card:
This is a build of the KytyPS5 emulator by chenxiao07, version
v20261017. DLSS frame generation can be used, but upscaling is not
available yet. The maximum resolution at the moment is 1440p. Stutters still
occur fairly often, and this version is still far from perfect, but the emulator is improving very
quickly.

PlayStation 5 emulation has advanced quickly. Over the past few months, players have gone from simply getting Bluepoint Games’ Demon’s Souls remake to launch to running it at a high frame rate.
Some experimenters are also trying to emulate God of War Ragnarok, which has already been released on PC. Video Game Esoterica recently highlighted one such test. The game runs at 10 to 25 FPS, and gameplay shows many graphical bugs, including bright flashes.
Video Game Esoterica also showed that Astro Bot can run on PC at a stable frame rate of about 60 FPS.
