A minor update is now being deployed, featuring several cross-play improvements and resolving some crash issues. Our tentacle-adorned friends are now more photogenic – say cheese, petal!
Although Patch 8 marked the final major update for Baldur’s Gate 3, we will continue to release smaller hotfixes to address game bugs. Should you encounter any issues, please let us know.

MODDING
- Resolved an incorrect ‘Missing XAML’ error in the main menu when deleting mods and switching from keyboard and mouse to a controller.
- Corrected Mod Manager reports that appeared as being from anonymous users, even when they were logged in.
- Fixed a scrolling issue on the Mod Details page for mods with extensive tags.
GAME
Gameplay and Scripting
- Adjusted the range of Divine Allegiance to correctly trigger within standard melee distance as indicated by the tooltip.
- Resolved an issue with how the Gloves of Battlemage’s Power interact with dual-wielded weapons.
- Fixed a bug where paladins would lose their Auras after a Long Rest.
- War Priest attack is no longer disabled if the character moves before attacking.
- Tavern Brawler now correctly refrains from adding a damage bonus to Elemental Cleaver’s elemental damage in Honour Mode.
- Fixed an issue with the cinematic when goblins at Moonrise Towers are instructed to sacrifice themselves.
- Addressed a bug preventing camera movement using WASD while holding Shift.
- Polearm Clout now properly receives bonuses to weapon damage from various sources.
- Weapons bonded through Pact of the Blade or Hexblade appropriately use the Charisma modifier for Polearm Clout attacks.
- Magical Ambush, Skilled Skullduggery, and Lethal Concealment no longer vanish while sneaking.
- Recasting Cloudkill after upcasting to Level 6 now functions correctly, with fixed visuals.
- Shadow Blade now only provides Advantage for melee weapon attacks when equipped.
Cross-Play
- Fixed a bug that caused the client to remain stuck on a loading screen when joining a cross-play lobby uninvited.
- Resolved a bug allowing cross-play activation and player invitations in non-cross-play sessions via the escape menu.
- Addressed an issue where users could attempt to join a lobby before the list was refreshed.
- Rectified a situation causing cross-play hosts to stall at 0% loading if a client joins during the cinematic post-Character Creation.
- Added a timeout that returns you to the main menu if joining a cross-play game fails.
- If your connection is interrupted on PC, the ‘Online features are disabled’ message now properly updates your online session settings, mirroring console behavior.
- Enhanced handling of network disconnections for cross-play.
- Standardized username character limits across platforms.
Photo Mode
- Fixed the ‘Highlights’ setting discrepancies on consoles.
- Corrected the ‘Mirror’ option in Photo Mode appearing in English in localized versions.
- Fixed a bug preventing the selection of Tavflayer or Karlachflayer in the Photo Mode settings.
New Subclasses
- Kills by a Way of the Drunken Master monk while intoxicated now contribute to the Punch Drunk achievement.
- Updated the Shadow Infusion condition tooltips to remove developer text.
- Normalized the chance of inflicting Hexblade’s Curse each time the Warlock uses Bind Hexed Weapon.
- Druids in the Circle of the Stars can now access additional Wild Shapes (Deep Rothé, Panther, Owlbear, Dilophosaurus).
UI
- Fixed missing Bonus Action icons on controller tooltips for some players with modded games.
- Resolved the ‘Choices Pending!’ alert during Character Creation after disabling a color choice mod.
- Delayed the cursor selection in the Mod Verification window until mods are fully loaded.
- Fixed missing Action Resource icons on pinned tooltips.
- Prevented input switching between controller and keyboard when the game is already processing a switch.
- Resolved the Spell Slot resource not displaying in the Prepare Spells tab during Level Up.
- Corrected a UI issue caused by simultaneous opening of the Action and Menu radials.
- Fixed Surge Accuracy tooltip errors linking to the Action Surge tooltip.
- Corrected the Quickened Mage Hand tooltip to link correctly to the Mage Hand tooltip.
- Fixed incomplete information in instrument tooltips.
- Resolved a controller bug where the tooltip selection box exceeded the tooltip size.
Performance
- Fixed input delays on PS5 split-screen when both players edit their Dream Guardian.
- Addressed stuttering in crowded areas on M4 Macs.
- Resolved game window freezing on Mac when launching without internet.
Launcher
- Resolved issue where submitting a report via the Larian Crash Reporter deleted saved settings files.
Audio
- Fixed looping issue with the Shadow Blade sound effects.
Animation and Cinematics
- Corrected Buthir’s arm animations that were sticking during gameplay.
- Fixed a dialogue bug with Kagha at the Emerald Grove that caused her to glide across the ground.
Crashes and Blockers
- Resolved a crash when switching from controller to keyboard after selecting ‘Venture Forth’.
- Fixed a potential blocker in savegames resulting from an unexplained Aura entry.
- Addressed a crash when dragging corpse portraits to the Party Line.
- Rectified a crash upon immediate controller activation during game startup.
- Fixed a potential crash in multiplayer.
- Resolved a crash when launching on Vulkan on Snapdragon devices.
- Fixed a potential UI-related crash.
- Addressed a potential crash related to the dialogue UI.
