GTA 6: Everything Known About GTA 6 After the First Trailer Today at 22:48 OPla G30

The game was announced on February 4, 2022, as the “new Grand Theft Auto”. In September, 90 videos were disclosed by a hacker showcasing an early development stage, the incident is known as one of the most significant leaks in the gaming industry’s history. However, it’s important to note that it’s been over a year and a half since then, and every detail revealed could possibly be altered, reworked, or completely removed.

On December 5, 2023, with the debut of the premiere trailer, the official title – GTA 6 was made known. The tentative release year is 2025. According to Kotaku, Rockstar Games had aimed for an early next-year release, but it’s delayed, and the sixth installment might be postponed to the fall or even to 2026. The target platforms are PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. The PC version will be available, but after another year or so. It will not be released on PS4 and Xbox One.

The setting is modern Vice City, a return eagerly awaited by fans. However, it’s not the only city in the game world. Players will have an entire state named Leonida at their disposal. We will control a pair of criminal lovers – Lucia (in many ways the first main female protagonist in the entire series) and Jason (his name is not confirmed yet but appeared in leaks). More about the nuances of GTA 6 in our themed articles:

Some more details can be gathered from the sections news and Q&A. But that’s not all; there are several more intriguing topics.

Phones and Social Networks

Smartphones play an increasingly significant role in real life, which will undoubtedly be reflected in the game. In GTA 5, we received lone SMS messages; this time around, there will be a messenger app called WhatUp! (a parody of WhatsApp), allowing for possibly more substantial conversations. Snapmatic, currently used for capturing and sharing photos online, will get a logical update to allow for browsing (and uploading?) short videos just like on YouTube, Instagram, or TikTok. There are already about a dozen confirmed accounts.

Sports

The diverse array of available activities evolves from one installment to the next, and the introduction of a driving range (a practice area for golf) seems perfectly reasonable. “Five” had almost a complete golf simulator, and to avoid repetition, the same mechanics could be retained but placed in new contexts.

Driving range seen on the horizon.

Los Santos and Liberty City have already accumulated nearly a dozen sports teams over the HD era, while Vice City is only known for the football team Vice City Mambas (American football, not “soccer” as known in the States), whose history starts even from GTA: Vice City. The Mambas stadium can be seen in the leaked clips.

Unique Jumps

Usually, searching for ramps and other suitable locations for roof-smashing stunts is a secondary task that players tackle after release. But in this case, the first unique jump has been identified – on an old bridge in Leonida (Gator) Keys.

There simply has to be a unique jump at this location. And there are four options right away: from both ends of the bridge onto it and off it.

Another potential jump could be a small raise that allows flying through a billboard in the shape of a TV (can be found in the leaks), but that’s not certain.

Random Events

Thanks to the same hacker, there’s a list of random events in which one can participate throughout Leonida online. It’s unclear how up-to-date it currently is. Also, nearly nine hundred lines don’t mean there will be as many events – the list (presented in alphabetical order) includes repetitions, likely variations of the same mini-missions (for example, some for Lucia, some for Jason, some for both) and other nuances.

Attention, spoilers! Not critical to the plot, but might spoil the experience.

Well, we’ve kept our New Year’s promise, have you? A third of the year is already behind us!..
