
It’s worth wondering how large Horizon’s Japan can be given that Forza Horizon 5 was already roughly twice the size of Forza Horizon 4 — which had been the series’ biggest map to date. When depicting monumental, iconic locations like Mount Fuji or Tokyo, scale clearly matters.
“I think people will be most surprised by the city — Tokyo,” Arceta added. “It’s probably our most ambitious urban space. It’s layered and complex, and I think players will enjoy exploring it; it feels fresh and different.”
Developers of Forza Horizon 6 say they worked closely with a cultural consultant to ensure the game’s depiction of Japan felt authentic and respectful.
