Fortnite has been aggressively expanding its metaverse lately, absorbing iconic IPs from The Simpsons to South Park. With Disney recently deepening its strategic investment in Epic Games, it only makes sense for Kingdom Hearts to join Marvel and Star Wars in the battle royale’s massive tapestry.
Given the established presence of Disney properties, Sora’s arrival seems like a natural progression. While intermittent whispers of a Final Fantasy crossover have yet to bear fruit, a successful Kingdom Hearts launch could pave the way for other Square Enix icons to follow suit. If these leaks hold true, we could see Sora, Riku, or Kairi soaring across the island before 2026 concludes.
In related news, Kairi’s voice actor recently felt the need to clarify that she has “zero news” regarding the development of Kingdom Hearts 4.
