Mole Mania DX – colorization hack – YouTube
The modding community has kept Mole Mania alive: Time Extension highlights a new Mole Mania DX project from modder Marc Robledo and artist Kensu William. Their patch converts the original monochrome Game Boy presentation into a lively, full-colour Game Boy Color-style release that looks polished enough to be mistaken for an official port.
If you own a legitimate copy of Mole Mania and can dump the ROM, you can apply the patch and play the colourized build on a Game Boy Color emulator. Robledo has also noted in replies that they’re working on a DX-style update for Donkey Kong ’94 — if it matches this mole makeover, it should look fantastic. See the announcement thread.
