Enshrouded Set for 1.0 Release This Fall as Keen Games Details 2026 Roadmap

As the second anniversary of Enshrouded’s Early Access debut on January 24 looms, developer Keen Games is marking the occasion by narrowing down the game’s highly anticipated 1.0 launch window. While the studio had previously confirmed the survival-action RPG would exit its testing phase this year, they have now officially targeted a release for this autumn.
In preparation for the full launch, Keen Games has shared a new developer diary detailing the final major content milestone for the Early Access build. While many specifics remain under wraps, one of the headline features is Adventure Sharing—a new system designed to let players distribute their custom-built worlds and creations throughout the community.
What to Expect in Version 1.0
The transition to 1.0 promises a massive expansion of the Enshrouded experience. Players can look forward to uncovering entirely new regions of the map and utilizing a more sophisticated iteration of the Adventure Sharing tool. The building system is also slated for a series of enhancements to provide even more creative freedom.
Combat is seeing a significant overhaul as well. Keen Games aims to introduce greater tactical depth, more diverse enemy archetypes, and refined AI behavior. Beyond gameplay, the studio is focusing on technical polish, specifically targeting shader compilation issues to ensure a smoother experience. Furthermore, Enshrouded will finally make its way to consoles alongside the 1.0 PC launch, though specific hardware platforms have yet to be named.
Long-Term Roadmap and Immediate Updates
Looking further into 2026, the team outlined a flexible content roadmap that includes a mix of premium expansions and free content updates to keep the world of Embervale thriving post-launch. For those currently playing, the wait for new content is short: a new patch arrives tomorrow.
This imminent update focuses on combat fluidity and quality-of-life improvements. Key changes include:
- Refined damage number visibility for better feedback.
- Improved telegraphing for parries and blocks.
- Increased accuracy for projectile-based spells and attacks.
- The addition of a new vanity armor set.
- Reduced frequency of accidental barrel explosions and various bug fixes.
Since its initial release in early 2024, Enshrouded has evolved significantly, attracting over five million “Flameborn” survivors to its corrupted landscapes. As the journey from Early Access to a full-scale release nears its conclusion, the community is eager to see if the title can maintain its momentum on both PC and consoles this fall.
