Dynamixyz taken over by Take-Two Interactive

Yesterday, the publishers of Grand Theft Auto issued a press release announcing the acquisition of Dynamixyz, a leader in facial animation.

Take-Two Interactive Software announces the acquisition of privately held Dynamixyz, a global leader in facial animation services. Founded in 2010 in Seson-Sevigny, France, Dynamixyz owns and operates a suite of advanced proprietary motion capture, facial analysis, and full 3D processing technologies. Their technologies combine computer graphics, computer vision and machine learning.

Dynamixyz has been a valued partner for Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games and 2K over the past decade. They worked on such famous games as Red Dead Redemption 2, NBA 2K21, Love. Death. Robots ”, as well as films, among which was“ Avengers: Endgame ”. We will not disclose financial details of this transaction.

The acquisition of Dynamixyz by Take-Two is the company’s latest strategic initiative to further invest in its internal development capabilities and continue its goal of being the most creative, innovative and efficient entertainment company.

The takeover of such a company will strengthen T2’s position and allow their studios to produce quality models of game characters.
