While the feature is now live, it does come with a specific limitation: transfers are exclusively permitted from official servers to other official or private servers. Moving a character from a private server to a public one is currently not allowed. While Funcom hasn’t detailed the reasoning, it likely serves to prevent players from exploiting the modified settings of private servers to gain an unfair advantage in the standard public environment.
The migration process is straightforward but requires careful preparation. First, players must manually back up their bases and vehicles using the provided in-game tools; failing to do so will result in their deletion. Valuables should be secured in the bank before initiating the move. Once ready, head to the Hagga Basin to start the transfer. If the process is successful, you will materialize at Griffin’s Reach on your new server.
Note that server hopping is regulated by a transfer token system. Each player is granted one token per week, which replenishes automatically, effectively limiting migrations to once every seven days. Safe travels across Arrakis!
