The official website of Radical Entertainment, now operating under the moniker New Radical Games, recently underwent a comprehensive overhaul. This digital refresh places a strategic spotlight on the studio’s formidable legacy, highlighting nearly 35 years of industry experience and a diverse portfolio. Currently, the team positions itself as a versatile powerhouse offering full-cycle development for consoles and mobile platforms, alongside specialized services for porting and remastering.
The renewed emphasis on their historical catalog has naturally ignited speculation regarding potential revivals of the studio’s most iconic hits. The updated site prominently showcases fan favorites such as The Simpsons: Hit & Run, Scarface: The World Is Yours, the Prototype series, and several Hulk titles, as well as their contributions to the Crash Bandicoot franchise. Seeing these legendary titles front and center led many to hope that modern ports or remasters might finally be on the horizon.
Keen-eyed fans also pointed out a high-quality Simpsons illustration on the page that wasn’t part of the original game’s marketing over two decades ago. However, any excitement regarding “new” assets was quickly tempered by the discovery that this specific artwork has actually been circulating for several years, even if it wasn’t part of the 2003 release cycle.
Unfortunately, despite the nostalgic trip down memory lane, the prospect of these masterpieces receiving official remakes or even a simple return to digital storefronts remains slim. It appears far more likely that New Radical Games is leveraging its prestigious history primarily as a promotional tool to attract new development partnerships rather than teasing a return to its classic IPs. While we hope to be proven wrong, for now, these games remain relics of a golden era.
