Greetings, Commanders!

Welcome to another installment of the Developer Corner.

Before we dive into today’s topic, we want to establish a clear distinction between our various community updates to ensure everyone knows what to expect. Currently, we utilize two primary formats:

Developer Diaries

  • Provide comprehensive technical deep dives into features that are largely finalized and undergoing final polish.
  • Are published closer to the official release date.
  • Offer a platform for detailed Q&A sessions, allowing us to identify and address any overlooked nuances.
  • Allow for rapid adjustments, whether via Day-1 patches or long-term “War Effort” updates.

Developer Corners

  • Prioritize direct community feedback on specific, localized concepts.
  • Maintain a concise, “straight-to-the-point” format.
  • May be purely text-based or supplemented with early-stage imagery.
  • Focus on potential future content that remains speculative and not yet guaranteed for release.
  • Are generally spontaneous and driven by developer curiosity rather than a rigid schedule.

Spotlight: The Dutch East Indies

We are now shifting our focus toward the Dutch East Indies and invite you to share your insights on the following:

  • What are your primary expectations for this region?
  • What specific “player fantasy” or historical narrative do you hope to explore?
  • Are there particular historical figures or specialized equipment you consider essential?

Dutch East Indies Concept Art

Beyond these general inquiries, we are particularly interested in your aspirations for the Loyalist Branch. We want to hear your thoughts on joint focus trees—what elements resonate with you and which ones fall short? What is your ultimate vision for a Loyalist Dutch East Indies campaign?
