Dead Space Remake will be in sequence from start to finish, like GOD OF WAR

Since its announcement, the remake of Dead Space has been emulated. Expected on PC and only next gen ‘consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, the title developed by EA Motive will not only be a restoration of the original game from 2008. Indeed, the thinking heads in charge of this project have big ambitions, and recently, we learned that the revival of Dead Space will also involve the integration of new sequences, which had cut in the final cut. Other bonuses are expected, such as gameplay elements taken from the other two Dead Space, just to make the game more flexible. But there is still something new, since on the occasion of an internal interview at Electronic Arts and posted on the official website of the American publisher, we learn from Roman Campos-Oriola, Creative Director of the game (and incidentally a former Ubisoft employee who worked on Red Steel 2 and For Honor) that the development teams were inspired by what was done on the last GOD OF WAR in terms of staging, namely a game made entirely in sequence shot.

Dead Space Remake

Thanks to SSDs which offer ultra-fast data exchange on modern machines, we are able to load and unload very quickly. Our goal is to provide a full experience with no interruptions and Dead Space will be a one-shot from start to finish of the game at credits time.

The objective that we set for the teams was that once the player took the controller, he must be completely immersed and no longer have the notion of time. This is how we imagine this immersion, that people dive into the game and come out once the end credits scroll on the screen …

These are words that only consolidate our interest in this remake of Dead Space, which seems to go a little further than the simple restoration of assets. It now seems clear that Electronic Arts has new big ambitions for this series, and depending on sales, maybe bet on it for the long term. In any case, the teams in charge of development want at all costs to keep the state of mind of the first episode, not to betray its origins and what Visceral Games brought to the horror game with this Dead Space in 2008.
