Cyberpunk 2077 starts flickering on Radeon RX 9070 XT after AMD FSR 4 update

Even the most advanced technology occasionally encounters unexpected setbacks.

Following the recent debut of the AMD FSR 4 update, members of the Cyberpunk 2077 community have started reporting a peculiar technical glitch.

A user known as Zyfyx, playing on a PC powered by a Radeon RX 9070 XT, shared a recording of the bug. The footage shows that moving the character back and forth causes the background lighting to shift or pop abruptly:

“I’ve started noticing this flickering. It’s faint, but incredibly annoying. Is anyone else seeing this? It doesn’t happen with other upscalers, not even FSR 3. Reverting to older drivers completely fixes the issue, but I really wanted to try the new Frame Gen, and this flickering is driving me crazy.”

Cyberpunk 2077 players are currently experimenting with different settings to find a DIY solution, while others suggest simply waiting for an official hotfix from AMD.
