Concord Taps Justin Prakash as New CFO, Music Publishing & Theatricals

Concord announced today (July 8) that Justin Prakash has been tapped as the company’s new CFO of Concord Music Publishing and Concord Theatricals.

As Prakash assumes the new role, he will be responsible for leading a global team of accountants while working in close collaboration with other members of the senior executive team to discuss the company’s signings and opportunities pertaining to the publishing and theatrical spaces.

Prakash will both succeed and report to Kent Hoskins, who was promoted to CFO of Concord in March. In a statement, Hoskins described Prakash’s “dedication and forensic understanding of our business” as “second to none.” The two have worked closely together for over 15 years.

Prakash added, “The Concord team consists of some remarkable people. It is a pleasure to work alongside them. Thank you to Kent Hoskins for his continued support.”

Prakash began his career at the intersection of accounting and music in 2004 when he joined London-based classical music publisher Boosey & Hawkes. Within three years, Prakash was tapped as the company’s UK Financial Controller and played a key role in the sale of Boosey & Hawkes to Dutch publisher Imagem. From there, he worked with Imagem to restructure the company post-acquisition and eventually played a key role in the sale of Imagem to Concord. Since the merger, he has served as Concord’s Group Financial Controller, Music Publishing and Theatricals.
