CD Projekt Red Co-Founder Reacquires GOG, Guaranteeing Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 Releases on the Storefront

    Crucially for fans of the developer, all upcoming CD Projekt Red titles—including the next installment of The Witcher and the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel—are confirmed for release on GOG. The storefront plans to maintain a “synergistic partnership” with its former parent company.

    According to an updated FAQ, GOG will function as an independent entity. “Any contributions from GOG Patrons or supporters of our Preservation Program will remain within GOG,” the company explained. “We are dedicated to building a transparent, ethical platform that champions indie developers and provides the community with a stronger platform for their voices, with major new initiatives set for 2026.”
