The 2.31 update finally adds a setting to turn vignette off, and players are thrilled. “Holy s**t. My dream has come true,” one user posted on the game’s subreddit, explaining the vignette made them feel queasy after about 30 minutes of playtime.

The 2.31 patch notes also improve the new auto-driving system: vehicles should travel more smoothly under player control, overtake obstructing cars, and ignore traffic lights when appropriate. CDPR notes that Free Roam has been enhanced to obey traffic where useful and generally navigate the city more reliably.

Beyond those changes, the patch addresses various bugs, refines Photo Mode, and includes multiple stability and performance optimizations.

No one knows exactly where Cyberpunk 2 will go after Cyberpunk 2077’s story wraps up, but Keanu Reeves has expressed interest in returning: “I’d love to play Johnny Silverhand again.”
