A minor hotfix is being deployed, addressing several cross-play issues and fixing some triggers for game crashes. Our tentacled friends should now be more photogenic – give us a smile!
While Patch 8 marked the end of major updates for Baldur’s Gate 3, we will continue to release minor hotfixes to resolve bugs. If you encounter any problems, please report them to our Support Team.

- Resolved the ‘Missing XAML’ error message appearing on the main menu after removing mods and switching from keyboard and mouse to controller input.
- Corrected issues with Mod Manager reports being mistakenly attributed to anonymous users.
- Fixed a scrolling problem on the Mod Details page for mods with multiple tags.
- Adjusted Divine Allegiance to activate within the correct melee range, matching its tooltip.
- Corrected an issue with Gloves of Battlemage’s Power interacting with dual-wielded weapons.
- Fixed a bug that caused paladins to lose their Auras following a Long Rest.
- The War Priest attack is no longer disabled when moving before an attack.
- Tavern Brawler no longer enhances Elemental Cleaver’s elemental damage in Honour Mode.
- Resolved a bug where goblins at Moonrise Towers wouldn’t properly trigger their cinematic sequence.
- Fixed camera movement issues with WASD while holding Shift.
- Polearm Clout now accurately receives weapon damage bonuses from applicable sources.
- Correctly applied the Charisma modifier for Polearm Clout attacks using Pact of the Blade or Hexblade items.
- Magical Ambush, Skilled Skullduggery, and Lethal Concealment no longer disappear while sneaking.
- Revised Cloudkill to cast the correct upcasted version at Level 6 with improved visuals.
- Updated Shadow Blade to grant Advantage for melee attacks only when equipped.
- Fixed a glitch that caused the client to hang on a loading screen when trying to join a cross-play lobby uninvited.
- Resolved an issue allowing cross-play settings to be enabled inappropriately via the escape menu.
- Corrected bugs related to joining the lobby in the friends panel prematurely.
- Addressed a scenario where cross-play hosts could be stuck at 0% loading during the post-character creation cinematic.
- Implemented a timeout that reverts to the main menu if a cross-play game connection fails.
- On PC, interrupted connections now correctly disable online session settings, similar to console behavior.
- Enhanced handling of network disconnections for better cross-play stability.
- Standardized username character limits across different platforms.
- Fixed the ‘Highlights’ setting malfunction on consoles.
- Adjusted the ‘Mirror’ option to reflect local language support in Photo Mode.
- Resolved an issue with selecting Tavflayer or Karlachflayer in Photo Mode settings.
- Kills executed under the influence as a Way of the Drunken Master monk now count toward the Punch Drunk achievement.
- Updated tooltips for the Shadow Infusion condition to remove developer text.
- Corrected the mechanics of Hexblade’s Curse to prevent increased chances on each Bind Hexed Weapon use.
- Circle of the Stars druids can now access additional Wild Shapes: Deep Rothé, Panther, Owlbear, and Dilophosaurus.
- Addressed the missing Bonus Action icon on controller tooltips in modded games.
- Fixed the ‘Choices Pending!’ alert appearing during Character Creation after removing a color-related mod.
- Delayed cursor selection on mods in the Mod Verification window until full mod loading on controllers.
- Restored missing Action Resource icons for pinned tooltips on controllers.
- Prevented input switching collisions when already changing input methods.
- Resolved missing Spell Slot resources in the Prepare Spells tab during Level Up.
- Fixed a UI bug where simultaneously opening Action and Menu radials caused issues.
- Corrected the Surge Accuracy tooltip linkage to the Action Surge tooltip.
- Ensured Quickened Mage Hand tooltip properly linked to the Mage Hand tooltip.
- Added missing information to tooltips for instruments.
- Fixed controller tooltip selection box size discrepancies.
- Mitigated PS5 split-screen input delays when editing Dream Guardian.
- Improved performance preventing stuttering in crowded areas on M4 Macs.
- Resolved Mac game window freeze when launched without an internet connection.
- Submitting a report through the Larian Crash Reporter no longer deletes saved settings.
- Fixed the repeating Shadow Blade sound effect.
- Fixed Buthir’s arms being wrongly positioned during gameplay.
- Addressed a dialogue issue with Kagha at Emerald Grove causing unusual character animations.
- Fixed a crash occurring when changing inputs from controller to keyboard and mouse after selecting ‘Venture Forth’.
- Resolved a savegame blocker caused by an illegitimate Aura.
- Fixed a crash triggered by dragging corpses’ portraits onto the Party Line.
- Addressed a crash occurring upon immediate controller activation during game start.
- Fixed various crashes related to multiplayer scenarios.
- Fixed a crash occurring when launching on Vulkan with Snapdragon devices.
- Addressed potential UI-related crashes.
- Resolved dialogue UI-related crash occurrences.
