Valheim Set to Launch on Switch 2 This Year

Valheim Set to Raid Nintendo Switch 2 Later This Year
The acclaimed Viking survival epic, Valheim, is officially expanding its territory to the Nintendo Switch 2. Since it first emerged in Steam Early Access four years ago, this brutal Norse adventure has become a benchmark for the genre, and now it prepares to bring its wilderness survival to a new generation of handheld hardware.
Valheim offers a vast, procedurally generated realm where 1 to 10 players can collaborate to build sprawling settlements, hunt formidable legendary beasts, and harvest rare materials. Steeped in the rich lore of Norse mythology, the experience focuses on taming a wild, unforgiving world. The upcoming Switch 2 edition is expected to retain the full scope of the original game while granting players the freedom of portable play.
Iron Gate’s hit title is slated for a Switch 2 launch sometime in 2026. This release may potentially coincide with the previously confirmed PlayStation 5 version, marking a major milestone as the game finally makes its long-awaited debut on modern consoles.
