Astrolabe Games, Developer of F.I.S.T., Gives Staff Day Off for Phantom Blade Zero Launch
Astrolabe Games management expects the launch of Phantom Blade Zero to pull attention away from work, so the company is giving its staff the day off.
Phantom Blade Zero, developed by the Chinese studio S-GAME Studio, is almost here. Some players plan to jump into the game on launch day, and Astrolabe Games leadership clearly understands that.
Players noticed an internal Astrolabe Games letter. The company is known for projects such as BlazBlue Entropy Effect and F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch. It decided to give all employees a day off on the release day of Phantom Blade Zero because “no one will be able to focus on work that day”:
Next Thursday, October 29, Phantom Blade Zero will officially launch. Although Astrolabe Games is not the publisher of this game, the company has decided to give all employees the day off to support this large-scale Chinese project and let everyone experience firsthand the impressive level of modern Chinese game development. (We know that none of you will be able to focus on work that day anyway.) We have only two requirements: 1.) Get plenty of rest, wake up early, and remember to eat properly. 2.) On Friday, everyone must report to work for a check. That’s all! We wish everyone a great time playing, finding inspiration in it, and returning to work on our own projects with the same enthusiasm and fighting spirit!
Phantom Blade Zero can be added to Steam wishlists. The game is scheduled to launch on October 29, 2026, on PC and on PlayStation 5.
