Some sequences that didn’t make the cut for this specific mod, such as Astarion’s Nightmare and the Hermit Crab Quest, were excluded because of significant recasting or narrative rewrites in the full version. However, HyperspaceTowel has previously developed standalone mods for these specific scenes, so players can still experience the vampire’s bad dreams or the crustacean’s questline if they choose.

The project is far from over. HyperspaceTowel’s roadmap includes restoring “Thralls on the Nautiloid,” enhancing reactivity for Wyll and Karlach, and implementing more voiced lines for the player character, Tav. While the mod currently has a minor bug where Gale’s beard behaves oddly during early access lines, the community has already provided a solution via the Gale’s Beard Fix mod.

Elsewhere in the RPG world, Larian Studios’ founder recently praised the “unsung heroes” who paved the way for the success of titles like Divinity and Baldur’s Gate 3.
