Developers are thrilled with the reception from the Nintendo Switch community, viewing the positive feedback as a catalyst for future projects.
Following the surprise debut of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition on Nintendo platforms—a collaborative effort between Aspyr and Crystal Dynamics—fans have been vocal about their desire to see the rest of the Survivor trilogy, specifically Rise of the Tomb Raider and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, ported to the system.
In a recent discussion with Nintendo Everything, Aspyr Product Manager Jordan Reese addressed the growing interest. He noted that the studio is energized by the “enthusiastic response from players,” which serves as inspiration to “explore future opportunities.” However, he clarified that the team is not yet ready to make any official announcements regarding further ports.
For the time being, Reese emphasized that Aspyr’s primary focus is the ongoing support of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, ensuring that upcoming updates continue to enhance the quality and performance of the title on Nintendo hardware.
