Arc Raiders Players Losing Firefights Due to Game-Breaking Weapon Glitch

Arc Raiders gameplay glitch

In the high-stakes world of Arc Raiders, your weaponry is your only lifeline against towering mechanical monstrosities and rival scavengers looking to claim your hard-earned loot. However, a frustrating new glitch is leaving some players completely defenseless at the worst possible moments, and reports suggest the issue is becoming increasingly widespread.

A recent clip from high-profile streamer Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins perfectly illustrates the problem. During a live session, Ninja grappled directly into the center of a heated firefight, only to realize he was physically unable to draw his weapon. Stuck in a state of technical helplessness, he was quickly eliminated while desperately trying to explain the “no-gun” bug to his teammates over voice chat.

The footage was highlighted by esports correspondent Jake Lucky, who noted that fellow creator Nadeshot has encountered the same game-breaking anomaly. In the wake of these reports, a wave of players has come forward to share similar experiences, with many expressing relief that they weren’t the only ones suffering from this phantom malfunction.

“It’s happening far too often,” one player lamented in response to the clip. “There is nothing more demoralizing than moving to engage an enemy and simply… standing there. I really hope a hotfix is on the way.” Another player echoed the sentiment: “This happened to me yesterday. I honestly thought I was losing my mind for a second.”

The glitch appears to manifest in various ways; some survivors report being able to access their primary gear and raider tools while their secondary weapons remain locked. While Embark Studios has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the bug, the growing visibility of the issue—especially among top-tier streamers—suggests that a resolution may be prioritized in the next update.

As Arc Raiders continues to evolve, many are left wondering if the risk of a high-stakes expedition is worth the potential for a technical catastrophe.
