Arc Raiders Accidentally Added “Legal Cheats” — Developers Release Hotfix
Tech-savvy gamers have discovered an unconventional method to secure a competitive edge on the battlefield.
While Arc Raiders players frequently voice frustrations regarding cheaters, third-party software isn’t the sole culprit. It turns out that those seeking an unfair advantage possessed a somewhat “legitimate” tool—at least until recently.
The developers inadvertently granted standard players access to the “NewConsole” command. Tech enthusiasts exploited this to manipulate game mechanics and dominate raids. However, a new hotfix has been deployed to eliminate this vulnerability and level the playing field.
Community reports indicate that exploiters could essentially bypass environmental obstacles; fog, trees, and foliage were simply “switched off” via the console by forcing server-side graphical parameters.
Furthermore, some players were placing ziplines within walls to clip through map boundaries, allowing them to launch ambushes from impossible angles outside the intended combat zone.
One user even alleged that a specific streamer managed to circumvent the game’s core mechanics by respawning mid-raid immediately after being eliminated.
