Alias’ Final Album Announced: Listen to a New Song

In March, rapper, producer, and Anticon co-founder Brendon Whitney died at 41. Now, his final file below the moniker Alias is about to reach October 26 by way of Anticon. Less is Orchestra was produced by Whitney and is a collaborative venture with Adam Drucker, aka Doseone, a longtime pal of Alias. They had been engaged on the venture simply earlier than Whitney’s dying. Less is Orchestra shall be out there in a restricted run of 500 vinyls. All proceeds from the file will go to Whitney’s household. Ahead of its launch, they’ve shared a brand new track. Listen to “The Deadener” beneath.

Doseone and Alias final labored collectively because the group Deep Puddle Dynamics, which dropped the only real album The Taste of Rain… Why Kneel? in 1999. Less is Orchestra follows Alias’ ultimate solo file, 2014’s Pitch Black Prism. Last yr, he contributed manufacturing to Doseone & Mestizo’s album A7PHA. In June, Anticon held a tribute show with all proceeds benefiting Whitney’s surviving spouse and youngsters.
