It appears that a significant audience remains captivated by titles that some critics were quick to dismiss as “AI-generated slop.”

Recent mentions regarding the implementation of artificial intelligence in the development of the next Divinity entry have ignited a “cancellation campaign” across social media. However, the creators of Baldur’s Gate 3 are not the only ones finding themselves in the crosshairs of this controversy.

The developers behind the highly anticipated Arc Raiders and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have also faced sharp criticism for utilizing AI-driven tools. For certain industry purists and vocal users, the integration of such technology remains an unacceptable practice.

Yet, while some corners of the internet attempt to bury these projects under a wave of backlash, the Steam sales charts tell a different story entirely—someone is clearly still buying this “neural slop.”

In the current Steam charts, these supposedly “boycotted” titles—Arc Raiders, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and Baldur’s Gate 3—are all comfortably positioned within the global top ten sellers.
