Reakktor Studios is approaching the final phase of development for G-Rebels, the spiritual successor to the classic G-Police. The developers have released a demo on Steam, available to download until October 20.
The project was first described in detail a few months ago, giving players an opportunity to gauge the scale of the upcoming action title firsthand.
The trailer showcases the world of G-Rebels — spanning over 12,000 square kilometers. The story unfolds in the year 2684, when life is centered around enormous megacities — Eden, Daevos, Venice and Iron Sands — all of which are featured in the new footage.
The game will let players pilot futuristic vehicles, patrol urban neighborhoods and engage in aerial combat. Its visual style and atmosphere deliberately evoke the PS1 era while using modern technology.
G-Rebels is planned to release on PC by the end of 2025.
