Major RPCS3 Update Released: Graphical Improvements for PlayStation 3 Exclusives
While several Sony console exclusives have yet to receive official PC ports, dedicated tech enthusiasts are ensuring these titles remain accessible and playable through advanced emulation.
The developers behind the RPCS3 emulator recently rolled out a significant update, drastically enhancing the visual fidelity and performance of numerous PlayStation 3 classics.
In Like a Dragon: Ishin! (the historical Yakuza spin-off), a long-standing issue where sunlight would erroneously bleed through solid structures has been resolved. Similar lighting artifacts and transparency bugs have also been patched for Resistance 2 and Resistance 3, leading to a much more immersive experience.
Visual accuracy has also been restored to Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus, where the electrified water effects now render correctly, matching the original hardware’s intent.
Beyond these highlights, graphical refinements have been applied to a broad spectrum of other titles supported by the RPCS3 platform, further bridging the gap between console and PC:
