The Blood of Dawnwalker Developers Repeated a Gothic 3 Mistake, but Problem Mobs Will Soon Be Nerfed
Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco Entertainment will soon release a big update for the vampire action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker, and it will calm down the game’s boars. The developers have already shared some details about the update and have now addressed this one sore point.
At launch, players ran into almost the same problem that fans of the Gothic franchise faced when Gothic 3 came out. The boars turned out to be surprisingly aggressive, and some players noted that the animals like to jump into fights with human enemies. Players also complained that, by their count, they had killed more boars during their playthrough than any other type of enemy.
The Blood of Dawnwalker developers reviewed the feedback and decided to make the boars “less aggressive.” They did not say by how much:
Everyone knows to watch out for wolves or bears, but a wild boar is no less dangerous. If you anger it, it will charge at you, knock you down and start beating you, even if you are twice its size. So when an enraged boar is rushing at you, it’s best to keep your distance. P.S. With update 1.1, boars will become less… aggressive.
The developers also plan to add an extra difficulty level aimed at story fans, along with a number of other improvements and fixes.
