2.5D Tactical Roguelike Eternity Breaker Announced with 20 Classes
Secret Character, the studio behind Neko Odyssey and Banchou Tactics, has unveiled a new tactical 2.5D roguelike called Eternity Breaker. The game is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam in 2026.
The title blends turn-based combat with pixel-fantasy visuals. The narrative follows a hero’s struggle to escape an endless dungeon. Combat is driven by a skill system: each round the pool of available abilities and their strength change.
Abilities are divided into three categories — melee (red), magic (blue), and tech (green). The character’s class is determined by which skills the player acquires.
Classes come in two tiers: basic classes with distinct techniques and advanced forms that possess an ultimate attack. For example, a character with two red skills becomes a Warrior; if two blue skills are added, they shift into a Battle Mage. Accumulating four red abilities transforms the hero into a Dark Knight.
Eternity Breaker features more than 20 classes. In combat players can use artifacts and items, combining skills to create unique playstyles in every run.
Eternity Breaker is due to release in 2026.
