You can now attempt Destiny 2’s newest Crucible map, Eternity, even should you don’t leap into Trials of the Nine

Destiny 2 has a brand new PvP map, and it’s fairly cool.

A brand new Crucible map was added to Destiny 2 this previous weekend alongside the inaugural Trials of the Nine PvP event. (Not positive what that’s? Check in with the Activities glossary in our Destiny 2 guide.)

Called Eternity, it’s a extremely different-looking map, with a great deal of white sand, unusual purple buildings, and fluttering golden streamers. It appears to tie in visually with the Emissaries of the Nine on the Spire, and doesn’t actually appear like anything in Destiny 2.

Although it initially debuted as a Trials of the Nine-exclusive map, the excellent news is that Eternity is now accessible in Destiny 2’s Competitive Crucible playlist, so anyone courageous sufficient to enterprise into this more durable, objective-focused mode can take a peek.

Although the Competitive playlist will not be a full ranked mode doesn’t require a pre-made crew, it’s worthwhile getting a crew collectively because it actually requires teamwork and co-ordination. Playing as a solo will be fairly irritating. Unfortunately if that’s not your factor you may not get a have a look at Eternity; Destiny 2 segregates maps by their suitability for Competitive or Quickplay video games.

Did you play trials of the Nine this weekend? I didn’t, and can by no means be adequate at Destiny 2 to take action. But I acquired a candy (degree one) Trials of the Nine weapon from my clan, in order that was fairly cool. Big fan of that system!
