Weapons, Bosses, and a Demo: What to Expect in War of the Worlds: Siberia

The development team behind War of the Worlds: Siberia has unveiled a new Q&A session. The video was uniquely captured in a single continuous take at the Yermolova Theatre.

The developers confirmed that the game will maintain a linear structure, though players will be faced with critical choices during pivotal narrative moments. The project aims to deliver a content-dense experience without artificial padding, featuring various tactical approaches to navigating specific level segments.

Cutting-edge graphical systems, including advanced simulations for snow and liquid physics, have already been successfully integrated into the core engine.

The gameplay will feature formidable boss encounters, each boasting unique combat mechanics and dedicated battle arenas.

Regarding the arsenal: players will utilize period-appropriate firearms such as single-shot pistols and revolvers, including the Mauser C96. More modern sidearms like the Luger, Colt, or Browning will not appear. To emphasize the survival elements, there is no weapon modification system, and inventory space is strictly limited. Additionally, players can find valuable loot inside safes, provided they can figure out how to bypass their locks.

A public demo is currently being considered; its release depends on whether the team can prepare a polished, representative slice of the game in time.
