Filming Begins on the Second Season of Presumed Innocent

Principal photography for the second season of Apple TV+’s hit legal drama Presumed Innocent has officially commenced in Los Angeles.

The new chapter features an impressive ensemble cast, including Rachel Brosnahan (Superman), Matthew Rhys (The Americans), Jack Reynor (Midsommar), and Fiona Shaw (Killing Eve). This installment will pivot from the original source material to adapt Jo Murray’s novel, Dissection of a Murder.

The plot centers on Leila Reynolds (Brosnahan), an ambitious junior defense attorney who finds herself thrust into the spotlight when she is assigned to defend the prime suspect in the high-profile murder of a prestigious judge. With her client, Jack Millman (Reynor), refusing to speak, Leila must navigate a treacherous legal minefield to win a case that seems destined for defeat.

David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies) returns as the series showrunner. While a specific release window has not yet been confirmed, the first season, led by Jake Gyllenhaal, premiered in the summer of 2024.
