Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Official World Premiere Trailer – YouTube

Ubisoft and Tencent first announced their partnership in March, following earlier reports that surfaced in January. Tencent has injected €1.16 billion into Vantage Studios for a 25% stake, while its role is expected to be primarily advisory.
Vantage is led by co-CEOs Charlie Guillemot and Christophe Derennes. Charlie Guillemot is the son of Ubisoft co-founder and current CEO Yves Guillemot. Together they will guide the group’s creative direction, with an emphasis on tailoring leadership to the needs of each individual project.
How this reorganisation will affect other Ubisoft teams — such as Massive Entertainment or Red Storm Entertainment — is still unclear. Although recent Assassin’s Creed releases have performed strongly, titles like Star Wars Outlaws and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown fell short of expectations, prompting broader questions about the company’s trajectory. Vantage Studios represents one approach to course-correcting; time will tell whether it delivers the desired results.
