We greatly appreciate your enthusiasm and feedback since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered was launched! We are diligently working on two separate updates scheduled for release in the coming weeks. They will initially be available on our Steam Beta before reaching all other platforms.
The first update will address quests, major bugs, blockers, and improvements for quality of life. It will enter the Steam Beta tomorrow, June 5th, and be available on all platforms by June 11th. The focus of our second update will be on performance enhancements, with more details shared in due time.

- Resolved missing text issue in Deluxe Upgrade installation
- Corrected ‘Skip’ button display during intro
- Rectified reversed Redguard Origin stats
- Ensured automatic display of Local Map inside interior spaces
- Enabled naming Enchanted items with a controller
- Amended punctuation issues in Chinese translations
- Localized string modifications
- Subtitles now appear correctly during Daedric Shrines interaction
- Fixed crash post fast travel to Vilverin
- Resolved crash in Crayfish Cave exploration
- Addressed crash during combat with Stunted Scamps
- Fixed crash upon paying fines after theft in Castle Bravil
- Corrected crash during Quicksave loading
- Resolved crash after fast travel to Mortal Camp
- Fixed crash loading save in Quill-Weave’s house
- Fixed crash when switching between Quality and Performance modes rapidly
- Resolved crash when storing items in Frostcrag Spire chests
- Addressed crash during creation of multiple potions with stolen ingredients
- Handled various CPU crashes
- Rectified player animation issues on horseback
- Corrected animation for High Chancellor Ocato’s arms
- Ensured Shambles’ animations play properly when attacking
- Fixed Staff of Sheogorath effects on enemies
- Cap’n Dugal now spawns correctly
- Light spells’ visual effects now show properly
- Adjusted offset Map Markers for secondary monitors
- Resolved Local Map blankness on opening
- Fixed Peryite Shrine’s voiceover cutoff
- Corrected First Person camera height
- Addressed persistent Chameleon visual effect
- Matched player skin textures after disease infection
- Preserved player settings post-update

- Corrected freezing upon Alt+Tab
- Autosave now creates a single group of saves
- Preserved old save file names post-character rename at Sewer exit
- Display Resolution settings now show correctly in Windowed Mode
- The Battle for Kvatch – Unstuck Savlian post-Castle Courtyard fight
- A Knife in the Dark – Restored Vincente Valtieri’s hair
- Finding the Thieves Guild – NPCs now appear
- The Sunken One – Diary page no longer obscured by a bowl
- The Elven Maiden – Resolved crash when Hieronymus Lex interacts with Llathasa’s Bust
This update will be available in the Steam Beta. To join The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered Beta update, follow these steps:
– Open your Steam Library and locate The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered
– Right-click “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered” and select “Properties”
– In the properties window, choose “Betas”
– Opt into “[beta]” from the dropdown
– Await download of the new build and start the game
