Diancie and Its Mega Stone Now Available via Mystery Gift in Pokémon Legends Z-A
Game Freak is spoiling players again. The latest Mystery Gift for Pokémon Legends Z-A hands out Diancie plus its Mega Stone — provided you’ve completed the main story. Diancie has been scarce in major releases for years, with the previous wide release occurring back in 2016. While Pokémon GO briefly featured Diancie during a limited 2024 event, most trainers weren’t able to move that particular Diancie into Scarlet and Violet due to transfer restrictions for species that haven’t been previously recorded in those games.
Claiming the prize is straightforward. Connect to the Mystery Gift service (an active internet connection is required) to receive the Diancite. Then visit the Looker Bureau and speak with Mimi to trigger a new side quest titled “Shine Bright like a Gemstone.” Completing that quest will add Diancie to your party. If you kept the 2024 Diancie on your phone, this in-gameDiancie will finally let you move it into Scarlet and Violet through Pokémon HOME.
For anyone still working through the campaign, now is a good time to finish it. The Mega Dimension DLC for Z-A arrives on , and introduces foes that can exceed level 150. Diancie can be very useful in hyperspace encounters, but it may be challenging to contend with opponents that are dozens of levels above your team — so don’t delay.
