After some deliberations, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds developer Bluehole has launched a first-person-only server in Oceania.
Players in that area have needed to both play in common, third-person mode, or be a part of FPP servers in different areas. They’ve voiced their requests for regional FPP servers loads of occasions, too.
The most up-to-date reply from Bluehole was that, surprisingly, the sport’s neighborhood in that area just isn’t giant sufficient to help that many various servers. However, earlier today, Bluehole made one FPP server out there to gamers in that area, and that’s just for the Duos recreation mode.
As for Solo, and Squads, the plan is to introduce them at a later date, offered the participant base in that area grows to some extent that may maintain them.
“It has recently come to our attention that players in Oceania who enjoy first-person matches have been facing problems with high latency/ping as they had to resort to playing the game mode on Asia and NA servers,” the developer wrote. “We apologise for how long it took us to address this issue.”
Because the inhabitants hasn’t modified, gamers on Oceanic servers might see longer than anticipated matchmaking occasions, which is a giant motive why the developer didn’t implement these servers in Oceania alongside the remainder of the areas.
Hopefully this can in flip increase the participant pool and make it attainable for the opposite variants to exist.
