Path of Exile 2 Developers Detail Improvements to Fate of the Vaal League — Rewards Will Be More Generous

Many players felt that their dedication was not being met with proportional rewards.

The developers of Path of Exile 2 have shared a brief development update outlining their roadmap for the “Doom of the Vaal” league, which includes significant tweaks to crafting benches and other core mechanics.

In response to feedback regarding underwhelming rewards for clearing the Temple—especially during the endgame—the team is implementing several buffs. These adjustments will notably enhance the modifiers that individual rooms contribute to the Temple’s overall difficulty and loot quality.

Incentives for defeating the Architect are also slated for an upgrade, addressing player concerns that the current loot table “fails to justify the effort required” to complete the encounter.

The update will also touch upon rewards for standard encounters; players can now expect to find loot chests following skirmishes with non-boss enemies.

These refinements are set to go live in Path of Exile 2 with the deployment of Patch 0.4.0c, which is currently scheduled for release on December 19.
