The Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era team has been releasing a series of teasers. Recently they decided to spotlight one of the characters.
This time the spotlight fell on Ethric (Ethric).
He is known by many epithets: First Necromancer, the Ancient, the Hermit, the Founding Father. Enroth’s chronicles record Ethric for numerous deeds, and he has endured for centuries—long before he intervened to prevent Sandro from enveloping Antagarich in the “Shadow of Death.” Let’s discover more about this esteemed archlich.
Ethric. Faction: Necropolis. Class: Necromancer. ||| Once a brilliant but secluded mage of Bracada, Ethric sank too deeply into death magic—secrets no mortal should possess. While trying to hide his findings he was betrayed and nearly killed. To survive he embraced undeath and became a lich. Yet he still clings to a veneer of life, moving among mortals with inscrutable aims. Rumors about his fate grow louder in the world’s shadowed corners, and some now call him Ethric the Mad.
Specialization: Bound to the Tomb. ||| Lich growth in your towns is increased by 2. Under his leadership, liches receive +1 to Speed, +1 to Initiative, and +20% to Health. Their Attack and Defense increase by +1 for every 3 hero levels, while enemy liches suffer an equivalent decrease to their Attack and Defense.
