NetEase Games has revealed the first PvE mode for Marvel Rivals, called “Zombie Mode.” It is scheduled to release on October 23, 2025.
Danny Koo, executive producer at Marvel Games, said the mode draws inspiration from the Marvel Zombies comics:
“Players will step into the roles of Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff and the Punisher to face endless waves of the undead. You’ll need to survive swarming hordes, confront Zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead, and attempt to stop the world from becoming fully infected.”
Koo added that each hero has received distinct abilities. For example, Jeff can surge through enemy ranks, Blade fights with ricocheting lunar blades, Thor strikes foes with lightning, and Magik descends into madness, transforming into Darkchilde. The developers promise intense boss encounters and hordes of zombies.
Marvel Rivals is available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
