
Gunn appears to recognize that tone shift. In Warner Bros.’ behind-the-scenes clip he adds, “I love when a story defies expectation. I love the fact that we’re going into Lego Batman, it actually has real emotion and stakes.”

The combat in Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight draws inspiration from the Arkham series while adopting a distinct Lego approach to that foundation.
