Perrie Edwards and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Welcome Their Second Child
Little Mix sensation Perrie Edwards and her fiancé, professional footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, are reveling in the joy of their growing family. The couple recently announced the arrival of their second child, a daughter.
On Saturday, January 17, the 32-year-old vocalist shared the news via Instagram, revealing that she and the 32-year-old athlete have officially become a family of four.
“Alanis Valentine,” Edwards wrote to caption a tender monochromatic portrait of the newborn, punctuated with delicate pink heart emojis.
The heartwarming image depicts baby Alanis nestled against her mother’s chest. In a display of family unity, Edwards, Oxlade-Chamberlain, and their four-year-old son, Axel, all placed their hands gently upon the infant’s back.
The couple, who became engaged in 2022, first went public with the pregnancy in September 2025. In a playful social media reveal, Edwards appeared in a T-shirt that read, “If He Wanted To He Would…” on the back, before turning to reveal her baby bump and the concluding phrase on the front: “…and He Did!” The announcement video concluded with a sweet embrace involving Oxlade-Chamberlain and young Axel.
This happy milestone follows a period of personal hardship for the singer. During an appearance on the We Need to Talk podcast in August 2025, Edwards candidly reflected on a previous pregnancy loss that occurred shortly after Axel was born in 2021.
“Axel wasn’t even walking yet and we were pregnant,” the former X Factor champion explained. She recalled discovering the news while preparing for the final Little Mix tour. “I was at rehearsals and I thought, ‘Oh, I don’t feel good.’ I had every symptom under the sun.”
While the initial tests were positive, Edwards admitted she sensed something was wrong as the tour progressed in early 2022. Despite receiving some early reassurance from medical professionals, she later received devastating news during her 20-week ultrasound.
