Remedy Entertainment has announced that it will soon reveal fresh details regarding Control Resonant, the highly anticipated sequel to their 2019 hit, Control.

The narrative shifts to Manhattan, which has descended into a state of total chaos following a catastrophic failure in the security protocols of the Oldest House.

Players will take on the role of Dylan Faden—brother of the original protagonist, Jesse. After waking from a long coma, Dylan sets out to track down his sister, who has vanished under cryptic circumstances. The studio emphasizes that Dylan must grapple with his own haunted history and navigate “impossible choices” that will ultimately determine the future of the human race.

This suggests a branching narrative with multiple potential endings. Given Dylan’s complicated and often antagonistic relationship with the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), players may find themselves in a position to let the world burn rather than save it.

In terms of mechanics, Control Resonant is an action-RPG designed with a focus on exploration across the distorted landscapes of Manhattan. The game’s structure is built to grant players agency, allowing them to dictate their own path through non-linear missions, combat encounters, and world events.

Remedy plans to dive deeper into the game’s setting and Dylan’s specific missions in the very near future. A dedicated presentation may be on the horizon, as the studio appears ready to break news without waiting for the traditional summer showcase cycle.
