The acclaimed visionary is also aiming to pioneer a project specifically designed to be experienced in zero gravity.

Renowned game director Hideo Kojima has unveiled a series of daring concepts for his future endeavors. In a recent conversation with the Japanese outlet Nikkei Xtrend, Kojima revealed his ambition to craft “a game played in outer space” as well as “an experience that brings joy to AI.”

While the mechanics of a title that defies the laws of gravity remain a mystery, the creator offered a more detailed look into his philosophy regarding games intended for artificial intelligence.

“At this stage, AI is still in its infancy and has much to learn. This project would serve as educational material for AI to study and evolve. Within the next five to ten years, I fully expect AI to permeate a vast array of different worlds.”

The designer maintains an optimistic outlook on the evolution of artificial intelligence, drawing parallels between modern skepticism and the initial public resistance toward smartphones.

“When smartphones were first introduced, they faced widespread criticism. Today, many people find it impossible to live without them. AI follows that same trajectory. The key is to leverage technology in ways that foster happiness while ensuring we steer its growth in the right direction.”
