Ghostly Whiskers is credited to Nostra Games. A glance at the studio’s YouTube channel reveals a library of titles with names and themes that seem to borrow heavily from viral hits or established franchises. Their catalog includes titles like Shelter 78 (evoking Fallout Shelter), Two Hands Hospital Assistant Simulator (reminiscent of Two Point Hospital), Weed And Greed, Risky Roads, and Only Up Rush.

While some of these are merely thematic riffs, others are blatant imitations. Hole Digging Master is easily confused with the minimalist viral hit A Game About Digging A Hole, while Ultra Bonk Survivors bears a striking resemblance to Megabonk, the 2025 standout in the Vampire Survivors-like genre.

Most of Nostra Games’ projects are hosted on the PlayStation Store, but they have a minor presence on Steam as well. This includes an upcoming version of Trading Card Shop Simulator—a clear nod to the 2024 viral success TCG Card Shop Simulator. Following Steam’s strict guidelines, the developer discloses that “in-game art may contain AI-generated textures.” Curiously, no such transparency is required for listings on the PlayStation Store.

The PlayStation digital storefront has long struggled with derivative clones. Over the years, the platform has seen everything from The Last of Us knock-offs to oddly specific imitations of classic GTA: Vice City missions.
