The pursuit of the legendary sequel continues.

November has come and gone, and we are already midway through December, yet Valve has still not officially unveiled Half-Life 3, much to the disappointment of hopeful fans.

Tyler McVicker, a prominent insider and well-known figure within the Half-Life community, has once again reached out to gamers, reaffirming that the project is indeed in development.

Recent updates to Dota 2 have reportedly surfaced references to “HLX”—a codename widely believed to be Valve’s internal designation for the next chapter in the Half-Life universe.

Speculation is mounting that the new Half-Life will launch in tandem with a new Steam Machine. Rumors suggest the announcement is being stalled by a global shortage of RAM, which has left Valve undecided on the final retail price for the new hardware.
