Cybercriminals continue to hunt for corporate data.
Gamers have recently been reminded of Nintendo — but not because of a game reveal or a copyright dispute.
The hacker collective Crimson Collective claims it managed to breach Nintendo. The group says it obtained certain company files and posted screenshots of folders online as proof.
Based on the folder names, the attackers appear to have accessed developer materials: assets, pre-release project builds, and backups.
So far there is little information about the scope of the alleged intrusion, and the attackers’ intentions for the seized data remain unclear.
